Carbonless Paper (NCR)

Formula is a carbonless paper of excellent quality thanks to its manufacture with innovative Non-Contact technology, as well as the mill's own production of the cellulose, base paper and microcapsules.

The Formula Sheets

To make copies, Formula uses three different types of sheet:

CB (Coated Back) - Coated paper on the back containing microcapsules with colour-formers. It is used as the upper sheet or the form's original.

CFB (Coated Front and Back) - Coated on both sides with microcapsules on the back and activated clay on the front. It is used as the sheet in the middle when two or more copies are needed. It can receive and transfer simultaneously.

CF (Coated Front) - Coated paper on the front that contains a layer of activated clay.

When pressure is made on the CB sheets, the microcapsules are ruptured, liberating the colour-formers. As they enter into contact with the activated clay of the next sheet (CFB or CF) the coloured image is formed.
